What is an electronic cigarette?

An electronic cigarette which is also know as e-cigarette, ecig, e-cigs, vaping device, personal vapourise (PV) and electronic vaporise (EV) are made up of three parts; a battery, a eliquid holder and e Liquid.

The battery unit normally is made up of  lithium-ion battery, which is also a rechargeable and this hand held battery-operated device that powers the device to heat up the e-liquid and dellivers vapour to the user.

Electronic cigarette devices has many innovations, however there are some shared components.  Most e-cigarettes usually have the following components; a battery, a tank (clearomizer or cartomizer), and an atomizer. The atomizer is located inside the clearomizer or cartomizer and is equipped with a coil and wick.  This turns the liquid into a vapour once energy is received via the battery.

In today's vaping wolrd there are currently few device generations available on the market and Smokersexit sells the most of the generations.

Entry level electronic cigarettes resemble the look of  real cigarettes (aka ‘cig-a-likes’). They incorporate an automatic battery which has the capacity of (90 or 120 mAh) with a short charge time and small cartomizer which pre filled with e lqiuid.

Then comes new generation devices contained of manual ecig battery usually has more power (400 mAh to 1600 mAh) which charged by USB. These brings a longer life span than automatic batteries because of larger size and offers a more vapour and a better throat hit and be turned on or off by clicking the battery five times. The e-eliqud can be refilled in the clearomizer and there are more choice of atomizer or clearomzer that are available for this type of device.

Now a days exceptional progess has been made in e-cigs industry to bring advance devices known as MODS, Box MOD, Digital MOD, Exotic, Mechanical MOD, Tanks, Air Flow Tanks, RDA, RTA, RBA, Rebuidable Atomizer and more all this ecig devices come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. They can be represnted by their larger battery capacity and tend to be used by people who explore the notion of the devices using larger tanks and lower resistance atomizers thus producing huge amount of vapour provides the vaper with consistency taste of e-liquid. 

Are e-cigarettes safe ?

The medicines regulator MHRA says the UK wants to ensure that e-cigarettes meet appropriate standards of safety, quality and efficacy to help reduce the harms from smoking. MHRA is encouraging companies to voluntarily submit medicines licence applications for electronic cigarettes as medicines.

In Aug 2015 it was published in the news that e-cigarettes are about 95% less harmful to health than tradtional tobacco cigarettes, and they might be useful in helping people kick the smoking habit, report was commissioned by Public Health England (PHE).

ABOUT E LIQUIDS

What are the main ingredients in e Liquids?

Currently e-liquids consist 3-5 type of chemicals,  PG known as  propylene glycol, VG known as vegetable glycerine which used used for vapour production. Flavouring to give a taste and in most cases nicotine and in some cases, deionised water or ethanol. The best e-liquids combination should be of a PG/VG mixture for a balanced throat hit and vapour production. 

1. propylene glycol or PG in combination with the nicotine and flavours this gives you more of a throat hit. and a stronger flavour. Propylene Glycol is non toxic
2. Vegetable glycerine or VG helps to produce more vapour and holds more flavour. VG is thicker in consistency and a sweeter taste with more subtle flavour. A vegetable glycerine heavy liquid is a better alternative for people who are intolerant to PG. VG is a thicker liquid so it will not absorb as easily in some clearomizers and can reduce their life span. Vegatable Glycerin is non toxic.
3. Flavourings that give the eLiquid its taste are available in a wide range of varieties to satisfy all tastes and preferences.
4. Deionised Water or ethanol is mainly used to reduce the thickness of VG heavy e-liquids.

Nicotine is the addictive component of conventional and electronic cigarettes and nicotine concentration in available in different strengths. ie 0%, 0.3%, 0.6%, 1.2%, 1.8%, 2.4% and 3.6%. Increasing the percentage also increases the throat hit to further tailor your vaping experience. Waring large amounts of nicotine are lethal.

Storage and Warning of e-Liquids

It always adviced that E-liquid should best stored in a cool, dark and dry location away from children and pets. Treat this product with care as it contains Nicotine and nicotine is a poison and can kill. It is advice to keep away from food, drinks and animal feed stuffs. In case of accident or if you feel unwell please seek medical advice immediately and show the product. Keep looked up, it is intended for use by persons of legal smoking age not by non-smokers or by children. Also not to be used by pregnant women or who breast feed and person with allergies to any of the ingredients of the e-liquid and person suffering from cardiovascular illness.

Disposal Procdure 

The best advise to dispose of your eliquid should in the bin by pouring it into a plastic bag containing absorbent cat litter. Alternatively, return it to our nearest outlet or Head Office. Always treat your e-liquid as medical waste and do not allow it to pollute the environmenat.

Usage of Eliquids

We mainly sell our e-liquids in 10 ml sized bottles. An estimated guideline is that 1ml of e-liquid is approximately the equivalent to 10 cigarettes. Therefore, a 10 ml bottle would be the equivalent to 100 cigarettes. There are lots of research and studies that reflect the use of nicotine via various means.  Some research indicates that the human body is able to self titrate (or control) nicotine dosage.  Therefore usage will differ from individual to individual.

Why does the eLiquids sometimes change colour?

With some E-liquids exposed to heat, light and air during storage there colour will change over time due to photo-oxidation. This is perfectly normal and the extent of this will be vary between the flavours as some of the raw flavour ingredients are more susceptible to this then other flavours. Nicotine by itself will also darken so the concentration will also influence this change. If the eliquid in you clearomizer or Tank turns into a dark brown or black colour, you may need to change your clearomizer or tank or replace the coil / head in the unit (if it is replaceable tank or Clearomizer).

E-CIG BATTERIES

My eCigs Battery Does not Work ?

User needs to check if the battery is charged. Different type of battery has a different charge cycle. For example, an eGo 650 mAh or ego-c battery will charge somewhere around the 1 to 2 hour mark. It depends how much you battery has beed drain. Aslo user should ensure that the charger you are using is the correct charger for the battery. 

Most batteries have a three or five click activation, this means if you press the button three or five times in quick succession, this will activate the battery, or switch it off. If the button on your battery does not light up when pressed it may be that the clicks needed to turn on the battery have not been actioned. 

Switching the battery off (by clicking three or five times) when being stored in a pocket or hand bag is recommended.

Why my ecig battery won’t charge?

Due the a number of different facors your battery may not be charging. Firstly user should ensure that the charger you are using is the correct charger for the battery. We recommend that you only purchase chargers from our website to ensure that they work correctly and safely. 

User should make sure that you are charging the battery the correct way and also make sure pin is also clean to make the connection. Some batteries are charged through the top connection(i.e. ego c or 510 charger), some are via AQWA V3 are charged from the bottom via a micro USB. Also some MODS or via a micro uSb and some Mods that take external batteries require an external charger for the battery cells.

Sometimes the contact on the battery may be depressed due to over tightening – a simple fix for this is to raise the pin.

My eCig Battery indicator light keeps flashing

Due to the number of factors your battery indicator light will keep flashing. Fistly, it indicates that the battery is low and needs to be recharged, or there may be a connection issue, mainly associated with ego style ro 510 batteries.

If it is due the connection issues (eGo, ego c ot 510 style batteries), this happen due the centre pin on the battery gets depressed too far due to over tightening, especially of the clearomizers, Cartomizer Tank or charger has been screwed on too tightly. User should always ensure when attaching these onto your battery you do not over tighten, or leave too loose, otherwise the connection is lost and your device will not work.

Cenre pin of the battery is located at the screw threads end and is a small, metal, circular disc that looks a little like a flat screw head. Slot a sharp non-metallic object (such as a toothpick ), under the head and pull it up gently, moving around the centre pin.  This will raise the centre pin and bring it closer to the atomizer or charger when screwed together and should resolve virtually all battery problems. Please before you conducting this excerice make sure you battery is turned off. 

CLEAROMIZERS, CARTOMIZER AND TANKS

What is Cartomizers ?

A cartomizer is a device which is similar in design to the atomizer. The major difference is that cartomizers have polyfill wrapped around a heating coil and polyfill soaks e-liquids or e juice and allows for longer vape time over atomizer. Designs of cartomizers that are housed inside a larger cylindrical tank or tube that holds even larger capacity of e-juice or eliquids.

What is Clearomizers and Tanks ?

Clearomizers are most popular and it is one of the newest eicg devices on the market. These type of devices are usually cylindrical and feature a clear polycarbonate plastic or prex glass tank are clear tanks which allows you to see the level of e-liquid or e-juice are left in the tank and they tend use wicks instead of a plofill wadding. Also these can be referred to as e liquid tanks.

The majority, of clearomziers and tanks we sell are replaceable units, this means that the only part that needs to be changed within the unit is the atomizer head. or coils. if you drop by mistake you can also buy the replaceable  Pyex Glass or metal Tank. You can also indentify if the atomizer head or coils needs to be replaced when there is a significant lack of vapour or if you get a burning almost smoky taste.

Why my clearomizer or tank is leaking?

It is possible you may overfilled with e-liquid, or not stored upright. and if your atomizer has replaceable heads ensure that the atomizer head is screwed in correctly.
