LITHIUM BATTERY SAFETY

Lithium batteries can provide extremely high currents and can discharge very rapidly when short-circuited. Although this is useful in applications where high currents are required, a too-rapid discharge of a lithium battery can result in overheating of the battery, rupture, and even explosion.

  1. NEVER leave batteries unattended when charging
  2. When charging batteries via USB - NEVER over-tighten them in the charger
  3. Never over-tighten atomisers, Clearomizers or Cartomizers onto your device, screw only until contact is made
  4. Don't heat, incinerate or reverse polarity
  5. Do not over-charge or over-discharge
  6. Always use the correct charger for the batteries
  7. Always use the exact batteries recommended, do not attempt to economise by buying alternative batteries. The increased risk of an explosive event is not worth it
  8. Don't use unprotected li-ion/ICR batteries
  9. Do not put batteries on wood surface or carpet when charging
  10. Remove batteries from the charger immediately the light turns green, DO NOT leave charging overnight or when going out
  11. Keep away your batteries from 
  12. If a battery gets hot, then turn it off, remove it from the charger if it is on charge. Do Not Put it in Water, as lithium and water should not be mixed. Use sand or other inert material if available. Use gloves if the battery get’s too hot. DO NOT USE THE BATTERY AGAIN
  13. Always charge batteries in a well ventilated area
  14. Set freshly charged batteries aside for a couple of hours before using 
  15. Store safely in specially designed battery containers - NEVER loose in your pocket or bag where they could come into contact with other metal items and cause a dangerous explosive event.
  16. Discontinue using a battery if it fails to retain a charge or looks damaged in any way
